By Maggie Rosario
Are you looking to grow your business in 2020?
Are you ready for a better year?
Do you want to earn more money, make more contacts? Well, today I want to help you by sharing a few things that could help you in 2020.
But first, I want to start by reminding you that you MUST Love what you do or you need to change today and move on to something that you love and are passionate about. Remember, a business takes lots of hard work, tenacity, and often you will have to put in many hours to reach your goals. So, LOVE IT or Leave it!
SO, LET’S GET STARTED WITH A FEW TIPS ON GROWING YOUR BUSINESS IN 2020!
1 Start by asking yourself: What helped me grow my business in 2019? Maybe it was cold-calling, sending e-mails, mail-outs, networking, media marketing, advertising, whatever helped you get business in
2019. THEN, DO MORE OF THAT IN
2 Then ask yourself: What didn’t help me to grow my business in 2019? THEN, STOP DOING IT IN 2020! Get rid of things or people that did not help you grow your business and move on.
3 Also ask yourself: What are My GOALS for 2020? DO write them down in a notebook and read them every morning to keep your goals clear, and DON’T be afraid to make changes or adjust them as needed.
4 Know who your best ideal clients or customers are. Narrow them down to highly specific, such as age, gender, income, education, language, where they live. The more specific, the easier it will be to find them.
5 Ask yourself: WHERE are They and How can I find them?
6 Also ask yourself: HOW CAN I KEEP the Clients and Customers that I have now? Remember, it’s easier and cost less to keep one than find new ones.
7 Hire people or team-up with someone that can help you do the things that
you are weak at. If you need more social marketing and can’t do it or don’t have time, find someone that can help. If you need to network and don’t have time, find someone who can attend networking events. HIRE your Weakness and do what you are best at.
8 Start your day with a TO-DO LIST and number them. Number 1 is the most important thing, number 2 is the second most important thing, and so on. The last number should be something that can wait to be done. Set priorities which create less stress and will make you feel great once you do it. And DON’T let other people interrupt your daily goals.
9 Get up at least an hour earlier or go to sleep later to get ready for your business development plan.
10 Remember, Mondays and Fridays are very important days. Monday because it’s a brand-new week to get started on your business plan. On Fridays, work late to prepare for next week so you can get a head-start.
11 All businesses will have its ups and downs, so look at the POSITIVE side and fix the negative things. Life Isn’t About What Happens to You, But About How You React To It.
